Downtown Matthews, along Trade Street and John Street, has the town's oldest houses and storefronts, alongside newer townhomes and shops. Older frame buildings here can have paint from before 1978, so exterior prep follows lead-safe practices.
Rentals and small businesses downtown often need interior repaints on a schedule; we work evenings or weekends when that keeps a shop open.
Most Matthews homes sit in subdivisions off Matthews-Mint Hill Road, Sam Newell Road, Fullwood Lane and Matthews Township Parkway, built mostly in the 1980s and 1990s.
Those houses are typically on their second or third paint job, with hardboard siding and wood trim that need probing and repair before paint. The home page covers Matthews in detail.

Huntersville, in north Mecklenburg near Lake Norman, is outside our usual daily area. We take larger exterior and full-interior projects there when the schedule allows.
